Maturation First fill bourbon barrels and sherry butts, second fill bourbon barrels and hogsheads, finish in PX and Oloroso puncheons and Virgin Oak.

Product description
White Heather is a 21-year-old Blend of Malt and Grain Whiskies from the Highlands, Islay and Speyside. It was composed by Glenallachie Master Distiller Billy Walker. The White Heather brand existed until 1980, Billy Walker is now breathing new life into the Blend under Glenallachie Distillers. Aged for 18 long years in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks, sherry butts and second-fill bourbon casks and hogsheads, it then received a finish in selected PX and oloroso puncheons and fresh white oak casks.

The GlenAllachie Distillery, located in the famous Speyside region, is one of Scotland's younger distilleries, but since its takeover in 2017 by Billy Walker and his team, it has quickly made a name for itself with its high-quality Single Malt Whiskies. The name GlenAllachie comes from Gaelic and means ‘Valley of Stones’, which underlines the distillery's deep connection to the region. In addition to classic bottlings, the distillery has also been producing the peated Meikle Tòir since 2018, which is a special discovery for fans of smoky Speyside Whiskies. read more

    Super leckerer Blend war bereits vom 15jährigen begeistert, aber der 21er ist tatsächlich nochmal besser. Man schmeckt heraus, dass hier eine Menge Glenallachie im Blend ist, also brennereitypisch sehr intensiv für einen Blend!

    „Hervorragend komponiert von Billy Walker: Der White Heather 21 verbindet Highland- und Islay-Malts mit Grain zu einem runden, aber komplexen Gesamteindruck. Nase: Toffee, getrocknete Aprikosen, sanfter Rauch. Geschmack: Honig, Eiche, Orangenzeste, zarte Gewürze. Der Abgang ist lang, mit dunkler Schokolade und einem Hauch Lagerfeuer. Exzellente Fassarbeit.

    Kommentar: Toller Blend, der seine Herkunft (Billy Walker) nicht verheimlicht - sehr fruchtig mit feinem Rauch, der aber dezent ist und sich super zwischen den Früchten einbettet. Die 48% stehen ihm sehr gut, und die Eiche ist perfekter Begleiter - gutes PLV!
