Tormore opens a new chapter in its history with this limited edition bottling with a retro look. Matured in selected Bourbon barrels, the 10-year-old Speyside Single Malt expresses the elegant, fruity style of the distillery in a particularly pure and unadulterated way. It was matured for ten years exclusively in carefully selected first-fill Bourbon barrels. These casks emphasise the light, fruity DNA of the Tormore distillate in a particularly elegant way. This bottling is part of the limited "Blueprint Cask Programme" - a three-part series from independent bottler Elixir Distillers that explores the stylistic range of the distillery through different cask types. The Bourbon Barrels Release stands for clarity, structure and the purist expression of a Speyside classic in a new guise.

The Speyside Distillery Tormore was one of the first new distilleries that were built in the 20th century. It’s more known for its unique and pretty architecture than for its Whiskies which predominantly are used for Blends. Tormore Distillery was granted the status “listed buildings” in 1986 although it was less than 30 years old then. The Gaelic name “Torra Mhoir” means “the big hill”. read more
