This special bottling from the "Blueprint" series shows how versatile the distillate from Tormore can be interpreted. This 10-year-old Tormore matured entirely in ex-cream sherry casks, which previously contained sweet, dark sherry from the Andalusian region of Jerez and whose dense flavours enabled a deep, velvety maturation. A Speyside Single Malt developed in these casks over ten years, with notes of dried figs, dark chocolate, sultanas and soft spices. Bottled in a limited edition, this whisky was also created under the curation of Elixir Distillers - an independent bottler that has distinguished itself for years through its expertise in the selection and maturation of special Single Malts. The "Blueprint" series not only serves as an aromatic snapshot of the reorganised Tormore Distillery, but also offers whisky lovers a preview of the future standard range of the traditional Speyside distillery.

The Distillery: Tormore
The Speyside Distillery Tormore was one of the first new distilleries that were built in the 20th century. It’s more known for its unique and pretty architecture than for its Whiskies which predominantly are used for Blends. Tormore Distillery was granted the status “listed buildings” in 1986 although it was less than 30 years old then. The Gaelic name “Torra Mhoir” means “the big hill”.
