The Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky is a modern blended Scotch from Scotland that combines traditional craftsmanship with an exceptional cask composition. As the "Spirit of Home", it represents its Scottish origins and interprets the art of blending in its own unique way. The composition consists predominantly of Single Malt Whiskies matured for 9 to 12 years as well as a 21-year-old Organic Single Grain Whisky matured in former bourbon casks. This combination provides depth and structure, while the Single Malts provide the fruity flavour framework. A finish in Madeira casks lends additional complexity, an elegant sweetness and a harmonious roundness. Bottled at 46% vol., not chill-filtered and with an exclusively natural colour, the character of the whisky remains unadulterated. The flavour profile of The Sassenach is fruity and balanced: Notes of ripe fruit, citrus and apple meet vanilla and caramel flavours from the bourbon casks. The Madeira finish complements a fine spiciness and subtle sweetness, which lead to a harmonious, pleasantly long finish.

Galloway Distillery, formerly known as Crafty Distillery, is an innovative craft distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. Located at the foot of the picturesque Galloway Hills, it produces high-quality spirits such as the award-winning Hills & Harbour Gin and Sassenach Gin.
The distillery was originally founded by Graham Taylor and his late father William Taylor. In 2025, actor Sam Heughan acquired the distillery, which has since been renamed Galloway Distillery.
