Product description
This 10-year-old Talisker was distilled twice and matured in American white oak casks, giving the smoky flavour malty-sweet accents and maritime hints. The strong flavour is followed by the spicy facets for which the Talisker Distillery is known. The 'chilli catch' runs through the long, warming finish. The whisky is one of the spicier Single Malts currently available. The new design favours more sustainable packaging with less plastic. The Talisker distillery is located on the Isle of Skye, nestled between two hills that stretch down to the Atlantic Ocean. The distillery's slogan is "made by the sea", which literally and figuratively summarises the distillery.

The Talisker Distillery is one of Scotland's best-known distilleries and is spectacularly located on the shores of Loch Harport on the Isle of Skye. Until 2017, it was the only distillery on the island and represents the rugged character of the coast with every drop. As part of the Classic Malts of Scotland, Talisker has achieved worldwide fame.     Kommentar: Dieser Whisky empfängt einen mit deutlich maritimen Noten, dazu gesellt sich etwas Rauch, dieser ist angenehm mild und süß eingebettet. Dazu gesellen sich Düfte einer Blütenwiese. Der Antritt ist kraftvoll, gleichwohl wirken die 45,8 % Alkohol recht mild und ausgewogen. Für einen Talisker recht verhalten rauchig, aber typischerweise mittelscharf pfeffrig. Das Malz verbindet sich rund mit der vorhandenen Sherry-Süße. Ein ausgewogener Whisky, der mich sofort begeistert hat.

    Kommentar: Sehr guter Whisky mit Rauch. War mein erster rauchiger Whisky den ich getrunken habe. War für mich der Einstieg in die Welt des Rauches.
