Old Grand Dad was a master distiller named Basil Hayden, who became known for producing a Bourbon whiskey with a higher rye content. This method of production was passed down through the generations until his grandson simply called his famous whiskey Old Grand Dad.

Geschmack: stark pfeffrig, würzig, mit ein bißchen vanille und toffeeanklängen.Pepper Pepper Spices Vanilla

Abgang: mittellang mit anständigen getreidenachklang.Malt Barley

Kommentar: ein recht kräftiger bourbon, den man auch einmal pur probieren sollte. steht geschmacklich auf jeden fall über den standard boubons. locker 2 sternchen.

Aroma: Fruchtig, Zimt und Apfel, würzig mit Anklängen von Trockenfrüchten.

Geschmack: Mittelschwerer Whiskey, der am Gaumen verhalten süße Vanille zeigt, dazu pfeffrige Würze durch Noten von Gewürznelken und Zimt.

Abgang: Lang und sehr würzig, Karamell- und Roggennote.
