Product description
The Lochlea distillery is based in the Lowlands. The Ploughing Edition (Second Crop) is the second bottling with peat smoke in the annual series. The long winters on the farm served as inspiration on the farm where the Scottish national poet Robert Burns lived from 1777 to 1784. It is the time of year for ploughing the fields that Burns once cultivated in preparation for the spring sowing. The single malt is one of the distillery's seasonal releases, which are released in small batches. Traceable production from the field to the bottle is part of Lochlea's concept, which runs under the motto "dare to be honest". This creation matured in ex-islay casks and peaty quarter casks.

Lochlea Distillery is an independent farm distillery in the Scottish Lowlands that has been producing Single Malt Scotch Whisky since 2018. The barley for its own Whisky production is grown on the extensive farmland in Ayrshire, ensuring complete traceability of the raw materials. The distillery combines agricultural tradition, sustainable production methods and modern distillation techniques.
