This Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is a high-proof Bourbon from the historic Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. It is part of Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection and is matured for a full nine years in white oak barrels, which gives the whiskey deep, complex flavours. Each bottle is bottled from a single barrel, giving each bottling a unique flavour profile. Knob Creek epitomises the powerful, uncompromising character of classic pre-Prohibition Bourbon whiskeys. Bottled at a powerful 60% vol., the Bourbon underlines the intense barrel character.

Aroma: Lecker, süß, Vanille und etwas Holz
Geschmack: Toll, voll, recht komplex möchte ich sagen, der hat mich sehr positiv überrascht, und das PLV ist unschlagbar

Aroma: süß, Karamell + Nuß satt, Blumen (Nelke ?), eine Prise Pfeffer, Vanille und eine schöne Holznote
Geschmack: die würzige Eiche haut voll rein, Karamell und Zitrone sind da, kräftige Gewürze
Abgang: würzig aber doch harmonisch, Eiche und ganz dunkle Schokolade verbleiben
Kommentar: super, auf Grund der 120 Proof sehr schön mit Wasser spielbar, je nach Wassereinsatz sehr vielschichtig

Kommentar: Was für ein Brett !!! Der macht Spass, nicht nur im Glas. Jim Beam macht mit dieser Abfüllung mal wieder viel richtig. Die 60 Umdrehungen sind passend und machen ihn zu einem Allrounder...ob pur, gemixt, der kommt mit allem gut zurecht.
Das Aroma ist knackig, der Geschmack ausgewogen und der Abgang lang. Bitte weiter im Angebot belassen und ich bestelle wieder.3,5 Sternchen für einen guten Knob Creek
