George Dickel Signature Recipe is a handcrafted small-batch Tennessee whisky based on the long tradition of charcoal mellowing and careful barrel ageing. At 45 % vol. (90 proof), it is stronger and fuller-bodied than the George Dickel Classic Recipe and is made from a mash of 84 % corn, 8 % rye and 8 % malted barley. The whisky is matured in new, burnt American white oak casks and impresses with its complex flavours of ripe fruit, toasted oak and subtle hints of vanilla and spices, before fading into a long, smooth finish. Confirmed by numerous international awards, Signature Recipe stands for the combination of expressiveness and elegance that characterises the distillery.
The George Dickel Signature Recipe is the direct successor to George Dickel No. 12, as the product was renamed from "No. 12" to "Signature Recipe" as part of a marketing change by the current owner of the brand. The whisky itself has not changed, only the new label reflects the repositioning of the bottling, which is made from the same mashbill as its predecessor and undergoes the same filtering process through layers of charcoal. The alcohol strength of 90 proof (45%) has also remained the same.

George Dickel Distillery is situated at Cascade Hollow/Tullahoma in Tennessee. It doesn't produce Bourbon, as the distillery proudly declares on its homepage, but Tennessee Whiskey. Well, in fact, George Dickel Whisky is a Straight Bourbon Whiskey that is produced in Tennessee. These are the two requirements to be met if a product is to be called a Tennessee Whiskey.
