The character of the Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve complements a good cigar perfectly. Matured in ex-bourbon casks made of American white oak, Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks and Cabernet Sauvignon barriques, the result is a spicy malt with sweet and fruity nuances.

Dalmore is a high-quality Highland distillery with a good Whisky and an elegant bottle design. The distillery was long run by the noble Scottish Mackenzie clan. A member of the clan once saved King Alexander III's life while stag hunting by stabbing a deer attacking him at the last second. The king was so grateful that he allowed the Mackenzie clan to bear the royal twelve-tailed stag on their coat of arms. This symbol is still displayed on Dalmore bottles today.     Geschmack: Tropische Früchte kombiniert mit Bananentoffee und Noten von Vanilleeis

    Abgang: Facetten von Orangenschalen vermählen sich mit Akzenten dunkler Schokolade und gemahlenen Gewürzen.

    Habe gleich mal nachgeschaut.

    Schönes Aroma!
    Weniger der Sherry als das Holz, das hier so lieblich und wohlig hervorkommt.
    Cigar Malt?
    Hätte man hier Tabak riechen sollen?
    Jetzt etwas vom Sherry, fast wie Mon Cherie,
    auch etwas Schokolade.

    Geschmacklich ähnlich.
    Der startet weich und lieblich,
    wird dann zunehmend kräftig und herb.
    Fast etwas Vanille.
    Es dominieren auch hier Holzaromen.

    Aroma: Erster Eindruck eher verhalten, dann jedoch schöne Fruchtaromen vor allem von dunklen, roten Früchten, Holzaromen eher dezent

    Geschmack: Im Gegensatz zum Aroma zeigt sich beim Geschmack ein kräftiger, voller Antritt, belegt den Gaumen, intensive dunkle Fruchtaromen aber auch Zitrusfrüchte wie Blutorange: Insgesamt sehr angenehm süß-fruchtig, dahinter Würzaromen mit Nüssen, etwas Zimt, wundervoll ausbalanciert.

    Abgang: Langanhaltend am Gaumen mit der angenehmen Fruchtnote

    Kommentar: Sehr gut gemachter fruchtig-würziger Sherry-Whisky, nicht bitter, kein Rauch, gefährlich süffig

    kann man mal trinken, muss man aber nicht unbedingt. Da gibt es andere bessere Cigar Malts. (82P)
