Aroma: Warm notes of toasted oak, chocolate, cedar, leather and some cinnamon and clove. Fruity facets recall sweet apricot jam, ripe melon, cherries and blackcurrants. In addition, floral citrus aromas with honey and gooseberries, subtle accents of iodine and leather towards the end.
Taste: Hints of malt sugar, ginger biscuits and lemon tart with meringue topping followed by preserved apricots, nutty marzipan, toasted oak and facets of chocolate, vanilla and fruit in syrup. Finishes with sultanas, plums and melons with again some iodine and coconut and ginger with cinnamon.
Finish: soft with notes of sweet fudge, ripe fruit and a hint of tobacco with ginger.
