Product description
This 80 proof whiskey consists of a completely new mashbill that replaces the traditional rye grain with brown rice. This adds a touch of sweetness to the Kentucky Straight Bourbon and a little less spice. The Small Batch Whiskey is produced and distilled in Clermont, Frankfort. The deep flavour profile is also achieved by the second maturation in a toasted and then re-flamed oak barrel. The barrels are stored at The James B. Beam Distilling Co.

    Aroma: Viel Zucker, mit ordemtlich Vanille und einer Menge Karamell! Feine weiche Holznote mit Sirup und Saftorangen.

    Geschmack: Wirklich sehr süß, fruchtig und süffig: Karamell-Sirup mit Vanilleeiscreme.

    Abgang: Mittel. Süß unf fruchtig. Vanille und (viel) Karamell auf hohem Level! Röstige weiche Eiche zum Schluss.

    Kommentar: Gut gemachter Bourbon, tolle Machart mit den Fässern und dem Reis in der Maische, aber für das was ich von einem Basil Hayden's gewohnt bin, hat er mich doch enttäuscht. Der Klassische und der Red Wine Cask Finish sind deutlich besser, was Geschmack und Preis betrifft. Deswegen nur 3 Sterne.
