Product description
Balblair is located in the small town of Edderton in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery takes its time producing the Single Malts, which are matured in traditional 'dunnage' warehouses with clay soils.
In 2019, the distillery introduced a new core range to replace the Core Range, which previously consisted of vintage bottlings.
The 15-year-old Single Malt was matured in former bourbon casks and then received its post-maturation in first-fill Spanish oak casks.

Balblair is one of the most northern distilleries of Scottland. It lies right next to the Dornoch Firth and was established in 1790. The distillery character is best described as 'very fruity and sweet Speyside Malt'. Balblair means fertile valley, but also battlefield. This is traceable to a battle between the Picts and the Vikings many centuries ago. read more
