Scottish smoky malt is used for Amrut Peated. This is mashed and distilled in small batches to achieve the most natural flavour possible. The whisky matures particularly well in tropical conditions 3,000 metres above sea level in Bangalore, the 'Garden of India'. Cask strength!

    90/100 Bisher in keinem anderen Whisky gefundene Geruchs- und Geschmacksbestandteile fügen sich zu einem wirklich interessanten Gesamtwerk zusammen.
    Aroma: milder Rauch, Salmiak/Lakritze, Stallgeruch/Heu, alkoholische Schärfe
    Geschmack: kräftig würzig (Brühwürfel)
    Abgang: Süße, Würze (Sellerie, Worcester Sauce), Schärfe

    Aroma: Intensiv süße Phenolrauchigkeit, bei der aber zuckrige Süße überwiegt.
    Trotz der 62,8% ist der Alkohol sehr zurückhaltend, und gut eingebunden.
    Die Fruchtigkeit erinnert mich an eingezuckerte Erdbeeren.
    - Nach Zugabe von reichlich Wasser weicht die schwere Fruchtigkeit frischeren Noten.
    Geschmack: Zunächst weich und malzig, mit einer milden Phenolrauchigkeit.
    Unverdünnt kommt dann aber trockene Schärfe auf.
    - Daher besser erst nach Zugabe von Wasser genießen!
    Dann weicht die Schärfe einer schönen Apfel-Fruchtigkeit.
    Abgang: Anhaltend malzig und apfelfruchtig, mit einer milden Holz- und Phenolrauchnote.
    Die Holznoten sind lange nachklingend.
    Kommentar:
    Sicherlich nichts für einen Anfänger, da es Erfahrung mit dem Umgang mit Wasser bedarf, aber dann eine leckere Sache und eine schöne Erfahrung.

    Aroma: Rauchig und leicht pfeffrig mit salziger Butter.

    Geschmack: Malzig und jugendlich mit trockener Eiche.

    Abgang: Leicht rauchig, zum Ende hin etwas Lakritz und Sirup.

    Aroma:
    Beginnt hauptsächlich mit - Torf, mit einer Menge an Alkohol natürlich, ist aber nicht wirklich sprittig. Noten von Kiwi, Obstbrand, typisch und natürlich jugendlich.
    Mit etwas Wasser zeigen sich ungewöhnliche Noten von weißen Johannisbeeren, Gelee von roten Johannisbeeren, sogar Jell-O. Das Torf ist noch da, bringt Noten von Holzrauch.
    Geschmack:
    Rund und torfig, ziemlich stark nach salzigem Lakritz, mit einigem an Salz und einer Unmenge Gewürzen vom Holz. Und bei den Göttern, der ist scharf!
    Mit etwas Wasser sehr gut für eine Weile, dann macht er etwas zu und es bleiben weiße Schokolade, Grüner Pfeffer, Chlorophyll und Zitronenkonzentrat. Wirklich ungewöhnlich.
    Abgang:
    Im Nachklang lange und groß, süßlich pfeffrig.
    Kommentar:
    Ein seltsamer, aber angenehmer Malt.
